Our volunteer opportunities, ranging from making resources to creating art for us, are designed to help queer youth develop valuable life skills by expanding individual creativity and collaborating on projects with other queer youth.
Working at Queer Youth Assemble, whether it be in a leadership position, creating a specific project, or helping us with a technical task, gives you a valuable and sustainable leadership experience while paying you for your work.
Helper positions are perfect for people who may not be able to commit much of their time to Queer Youth Assemble, but are still interested in committing some of their time to help at events or other QYA sponsored activities.

How flexible are positions?
As queer youth, we understand that many of our workers and volunteers are balancing school, family, and other commitments in addition to QYA. For all positions, we are extremely flexible regarding outside commitments, given that you communicate with us in a timely manner to the best of your ability.
We also understand that physical, mental, and emotional health are subject to constant change, and it is impossible to predict how you will be feeling on any given day. Queer Youth Assemble is extremely flexible around needing time off or taking a self care day as long as you communicate with us in a timely manner to the best of your ability. We also offer support in the form of resources and outside recommendations.
